                                    about the wine
In the Ampelographic Field of Herdade do Esporão, 189 grape varieties are planted, 104 of which are white, all grown organically. Over a hundred grape varieties, each with its own personality, different ripening times and degrees, including both Portuguese and international varieties, well-known and lesser-known. This is how this wine began, in the field, and that’s why it’s called "No Campo", bringing together 104 white grape varieties in a single blend. It macerated in a traditional winepress with foot treading, an alternative to the usual method of vinifying white wines. Each variety, with its unique characteristics, unadorned, is embodied in this complex and uniquely characterful wine.It is part of Esporão’s innovation project "Fio da Navalha".
