Grape Harvesting Experience 2022: a day at Quinta dos Murças or Quinta do Ameal 02/09/2022
Esporão will be celebrating the harvest on the 10th and 17th September at Quinta dos Murças and, for the first time, at Quinta do Ameal. Two special programmes are on offer in the Douro and Vinho Verde regions including winery and cellar visits, wine tastings, traditional grape foot treading, and an optional lunch with the winemaker.
QUINTA DOS MURÇAS GRAPE HARVEST
The grape harvest is about to start, and Quinta dos Murças is welcoming visitors on one of two special days, 10 and 17 September.
10 September- Harvest Programme*
3:00 pm – Quinta dos Murças welcome
3:30 pm – Guided tour of the winery and cellar
5:00 pm – Lagarada: Barefoot treading of grapes in the lagar
6:00 pm – Wine tasting: Assobio White, Assobio Rosé, Assobio Red, Quinta dos Murças Minas and Quinta dos Murças Reserva
*The 80€ price includes a harvest kit (T-shirt, straw hat and reusable water bottle).

17 September 17 – Harvest Programme with Winemaker*
11:00 am – Quinta dos Murças welcome
11:30 am – Guided tour of winery and cellar
1:00 pm – Lagarada (barefoot grape treading in the lagar)
3:00 pm – Exclusive harvest lunch with the winemaker
16h00 – Wine tasting: Quinta dos Murças Minas, Quinta dos Murças Margem, Quinta dos Murças Reserva

10:00 am – Quinta do Ameal welcome
10:30 am – Vineyard tour – Walk through the vineyards and harvest grapes by hand
11:00 am – Winery visit and help select the best grapes at the sorting table
12:00 pm – Tastings: Taste Quinta do Ameal musts at differing stages of fermentation
1:30 pm – Harvest lunch
