The link between the colours and the wine and its origins in the Alentejo reflects the deep experience Eduardo Aires has had with Esporão over the last 16 years.
A connoisseur of wine and knowledgeable about its origin and production, Eduardo has an affectionate relationship with Esporão. This connection allows him to translate, through colour, all the sensations that a wine can awaken: the minerality, freshness and complexity that Esporão wines carry. His enormous talent and identity as an artist come to life in the bottles of the new Esporão Reserva 2023 harvest.
With a long partnership with Esporão, Eduardo Aires was challenged to create the next Herdade do Esporão labels. By exploring different narratives, he decided to draw inspiration from what is part of his daily life and defines him as a creator.

Eduardo Aires is a professor at the School of Fine Arts of the University of Porto and artistic director of Studio Eduardo Aires, a multidisciplinary design studio based in Porto.
‘I can express myself artistically using the means and equipment, both technological and industrial, that are at my disposal. I metaphorically draw with machines.’
In this way his work converges around the fusion of paints in which the machines are his brushes.
